DETAILED INTEGRATED SUMMARY ON NEARSHORING IN

                                                      MEXICO

Nearshoring, as a business strategy, has gained significant relevance in

recent years, particularly in the context of global trade tensions, such as

those between the United States and China. This approach involves

relocating production and operational processes to countries closer to the

primary market, offering benefits in terms of cost reduction, supply chain

improvements, and increased operational efficiency. Mexico has emerged

as a preferred destination for nearshoring due to its geographical proximity

to the United States, favorable regulatory and commercial frameworks,

    and competitive labor costs.

One of the most crucial elements for the success of nearshoring in Mexico

is infrastructure. The quality and availability of infrastructure, such as roads,

ports, and telecommunications, are essential to ensuring supply chain

efficiency. Despite the advantages of its strategic location, Mexico faces

significant challenges in this area. The need to modernize and expand its

infrastructure is pressing, especially if the country aims to fully capitalize

on the opportunities presented by nearshoring.
